Transilvania International Film Festival

Dupa cum bine stim, urmeaza perioada in care in marile orase ale Ardealului o sa aiba loc vestitul festival de film, Transilvania International Film Festival. In Cluj festivalul debuteaza anul acesta in data de 30 mai, iar ultima zi de festival in data de 8 iunie. 2014. 

Despre festivalul din Cluj stim deja ca a debutat in anul 2002, iar de atunci ne incanta cu multe surpize an de an. 

 

Anul acest, in ziua deschiderii, putei viziona filmul Philomenia, regizat de Stephen Fears, din Marea Britanie. 

Cu aceasta ocazie puteti viziona filme coreene care vor fi prezentate cu sprijinul Ambasadei Republicii Coreea in Romania. In distributii ii gasiti pe John Hurt, Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton sau Ed Harris. 

 

Pentru vizionarea filmelor biletele vor fi puse spre vanzare din data de 23.05.2014 pe www.biletmaster.ros?i la casieriile TIFF, incepand de luni 26 mai 2014 la Cinema FLORIN PIERSIC, P-ta Mihai Viteazul, nr. 11, Cinema ARTA, str. Universitatii nr. 3, Cinema VICTORIA, B-dul Eroilor, nr. 51, Casa TIFF, str. Universitatii, nr. 6 (doar pentru invitati si persoanele acreditate), iar din 30 mai in Piata Unirii, programul casieriilor fiind urmatorul:

Luni 26 mai - Joi 29 mai: 11:00 - 18:00;

Vineri 30 mai - Duminic? 8 iunie: 09:00 - 23:00.

  The 2014  Edition of the Transylvanian Horse Show

A fourth edition of the  Transylvania Horse Show, the most famous  Hipic International competition in Romania tooked place this weekend, 2-4 May 2014 in Prod, a smal village in Sibiu county.

Competitors and fans from 19 countries attended this years event.

Held durind the Spring time, "Transylvania Horse Show" is one of the most wonderful and expected anual events in the Sibiu county rural area.

As in previous years, the event is  dedicated to equestrian sports and horse lovers, and takes place in an idyllic setting, near one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe,  Sighisoara

 

"Transylvania Horse Show is a wonderful event, set amid beautiful landscape, the perfect set-up for an equestrian competition. I will definitely recommend this event to my riding riends all over the world", said Sandra Auffarth, Olympic champion, winner of the gold team medal and bronze individual medal in the 2012 London Olympic Games. 

 

 

How to get here:

The closest cities to Prod village are:

  • Sighisoara 16km

  • Medias 30km

  • Târgu Mures 50km

  • Sibiu 100km

  • Bucharest 310km

 

By Airplane:

  • - Closest airport is Târgu Mures International Airport. Connections with WizzAir from London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Rome, Dortmund and Budapest

  • - Sibiu International Airport

  • - Bucharest International Airports. From Bucharest you can take a train to Sighisoara or rent a car, Eurocars.ro might be a good idea.


By Train:
From Bucharest take the train to Sighisoara (duration approx. 5h, cost around 15 Euros). There are approx. 5 trains daily. Some international trains also stop in Sighisoara for instance trains departing from Vienna (Austria) and Budapest (Hungary). 
By Car:


Drive to Sighisoara/ Medias and follow the map. Driving from Bucharest takes about 5-6 hours, from Sibiu 2 hours.

Road tripp through Transylvania might be a very good idea, especially if you take some time to stop on the way.  We all know that Transylvania has many of the most beautiful rural sceneries in the country.
